The political map of Israel is depicted in the background of this painting. To the right are the territories of the tribes of Menasheh, Gad and Reuven which are described in the Book of Joshua. Superimposed on the map is a figure which represents the collective body of Israel within which lies the potential for the manifestation of the Shechinah (the feminine aspect of Divinity in this world). She is enlightened being within each one of us - the part of our consciousness that was never affected by the tree of knowledge and the resulting restricted self-consciousness and sense of separateness.
The Hebraic writing of which her body is composed represents some of the various facets of the twelve dimensions. She is outlined with the names of the tribes. The tribe of Levi (which is also the tribe of the kohanim) is written on her heart. The next line within is the 12 limbs. The innermost part of her skirt is the twelve zodiacal signs. Her right arm is composed of the twelve senses and her left arm of the twelve simple letters. The strands of her hair are composed of the twelve different permutations of G-d's four-letter name.
The lettering framing the painting consists of the month and its general experience.
